New Patients at Flex Health Professionals Mandurah

Starting care at a new clinic can feel uncertain — but at Flex Health Professionals in Mandurah, we make it simple, welcoming, and professional. From your first phone call to your first treatment, our team is here to guide you every step of the way.

Your First Appointment

Your initial consultation is a 30‑minute appointment designed to give you clarity and confidence. It includes:

  • A detailed history and physical examination
  • Discussion of your health goals and concerns
  • Review of any scans or reports you bring along
  • Clear explanation of findings and treatment options

In most cases, treatment begins at your first visit. If imaging is required, your chiropractor will explain why and guide you through the process.

What to Bring

To make your first visit smooth, please bring:

  • Any previous x‑rays, scans, or reports
  • Medicare card and GP referral if you have a care plan
  • DVA referral and card if applicable
  • Private health insurance card (HICAPS available onsite)

Arrive 15 minutes early to complete your intake form, or fill it out online before your appointment.

Recovery Timeline

Recovery time depends on:

  • How long you’ve had the problem
  • Your age, fitness, and lifestyle demands
  • Work posture and activity levels
  • Underlying health conditions
  • Consistency with treatment and exercises

Your chiropractor will give you an estimate based on national averages. Typically, appointments are more frequent at the start, then taper as you improve. Best results come from following your exercise plan and keeping scheduled visits.

Bulk‑Billing and Insurance

  • Medicare Care Plans: Full payment required at time of appointment. We will process the medicare rebate onsite for you, leaving a small out-of-pocket gap (up to 5 visits per calendar year).
  • DVA: Accepted with referral and card.
  • Private Health Insurance: HICAPS onsite for instant claims — you only pay the gap.

This is a question often asked, and sometimes difficult to answer. Your chiropractor will be able to give you an estimate based on national averages, but it ultimately comes down to several factors. These include: age, level of fitness, how long you have had the problem, working conditions, posture, underlying abnormalities, how regular you receive treatment and whether you do the stretches and exercises as recommended. Generally, best results are achieved by sticking to the exercises and keeping your clinic appointments as recommended by the chiropractor. It is common to have more frequent appointments in the beginning, and then as you improve, less frequent appointments.

We treat patient for a wide range of conditions and diagnoses.  Please visit our Conditions page for an extensive list of conditions and diagnoses we see patients for.

Generally imaging is not initially required, however this is dependant on examination findings at your first appointment. If we think x-rays or scans are needed, we will discuss this with you in detail.

We can provide treatment to children from the age of 4 for postural and musculoskeletal complaints. Prior to this age, we advise you to first follow-up with your family doctor. Non-musculoskeletal complaints are not treated at this clinic (eg. bed-wetting, colic, developmental/behavioural issues)
